FAQs

What helps us to quote your project faster?

When you need a quote for a cable assembly or wiring harness, providing as much information as possible from the start can make the process much quicker and smoother. The more we know about your project, the faster we can prepare an accurate quotation and recommend the right solution.

If you’re not sure what details to include, here’s a good place to start.

1. Drawings or Technical Specifications

If you have a drawing, wiring diagram, or technical specification, sending it over with your enquiry is one of the best ways to speed things up. It gives us a clear understanding of exactly what’s required and reduces the need for follow-up questions.

If you don’t have a drawing, don’t worry—we can often work from photos, sketches, or a sample.

2. Cable Requirements

Knowing the type of cable you need is important. This could include details such as:

  • Cable length
  • Number of cores
  • Cable size
  • Shielding requirements
  • Operating voltage
  • Environmental conditions

If you’re unsure of the exact specification, simply tell us how and where the cable will be used, and we can help identify the right option.

3. Connector Information

If your assembly requires connectors, let us know the manufacturer and part number if possible. If you don’t have this information, a photo or sample is often enough for us to identify the correct component.

Providing connector details early helps avoid delays and ensures compatibility with your equipment.

4. Quantity Required

Whether you need a single prototype or thousands of assemblies, knowing the quantity helps us provide the most accurate pricing and lead time.

If you’re expecting repeat orders, it’s worth mentioning this too, as it may affect production planning and overall costs.

5. Any Special Requirements

Every project is different. If your cable assembly needs specific testing, labelling, packaging, or industry certifications, letting us know at the quotation stage helps us build these requirements into the proposal.

It’s always easier to include these details from the beginning than add them later.

Getting a fast, accurate quote doesn’t have to be complicated. The more information you can provide upfront, the easier it is for us to understand your requirements and recommend the best solution for your project.

Even if you don’t have every detail, don’t let that stop you getting in touch. Whether you have a full technical drawing or just an idea of what you need, we’re happy to help guide you through the process and provide a quotation that’s tailored to your requirements.
